Bobby Birdman’s Hoverboard -
This awesome design for a Bobby Birdman skateboard is from like 4 or 5 years ago. This was to be a collaboration between States Rights & Marriage records and a follow up to the first Kyle Field deck. I don’t know why this fell through the cracks. This should exist in the world!
Jib Kidder & Flap collabo
Flap is 2 piece from Atlanta formed in the 90s and recently reunited. Flap is Matt Miller and Andy Hopkins. Hopkins has guitared for Neko Case, Andrew Bird & Smog in addition to his work as Mr. Rudy Day. I played music with Matt when I was a teenager in Atlanta. Around that time he was just starting to work on a film called Ya Heard Me?, a documentary about the New Orleans Bounce Rap scene and his book, Bounce is currently available here. From this research on that project, he fed me piles of samples that found their way on to All on Yall. Likewise, his country collection became indispensable in the making of Steal Guitars. This remix combines elements of the Flap original “Buffalo China” with samples used on Steal Guitars.
